There is a fire raging now for the…poor of this society…Disinherited people all over the world are bleeding to death from deep social and economic wounds. They need brigades of ambulance drivers who will have to ignore the red lights of the present system until the emergency is solved.

I used to listen to this song endlessly during first year. Yesterday parents came back from holiday and brought back a crystal necklace a family friend had bought me as a souvenir…and I thought of this song ;) LOVE IT.
I need to watch The Code at some point - was always interested in patterns in the universe, as the film Pi famously explored… but this takes it to a new level - algorithms and the market.
Heard Jeff Buckley’s Hallelujah on the radio this morning as I lay in bed, and I instantly thought of this thought provoking film - The Edukators. Touches on so many important themes/questions, if you haven’t seen it, consider yourself uneducated ;)
(Best song to open film to > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTlO7RUCVPo)
He appeals to my inner math/techy/whimsical nerd. See, it IS okay to be nice. Loads of love to this guy. I’d be his patent lawyer anyday ;)
Absolutely favourite film…
“If my calculations are correct when this baby hits 88mph you’re gonna see some serious shit.”

Withnail and I… I once knew someone that reminded me of the obnoxious but wonderfully humane Withnail, flaws and all. This film is a student’s best friend.
All that work, so worth it. Finally made some £. I am very content. Took dad to a Japanese shop today, while we hunted for graduation shoes and some other stuff. (ahh loving my new Hobbs..pretty sure he appeared in my constitutional law module. How appropriate.) Forgot how much I love UNIQLO. High street fashion has generally gone (GaGa) mad… but this place is the exception. Love everything Asian anyway.
Rain Song - Led Zeppelin.
Each time I listen to this piece, I recall the closing scene of Cemetery Junction (amazing film) reminscent of the beautiful, colourful English countryside I would gaze at from the train window, speeding away from the overly cluttered city to the south west for uni. Missing those days already…
